What's Illustration? It really is almost everything that tells a story, or communicates a verbal concept through pictures. 
WHAT is an illustrator?  An Illustrator "ILLUSTRATES", an illustrator communicates through images. It can be in any medium, field, technique, --but it always communicates to the viewer. An Illustrator must broaden their understanding of ART, DESIGN, HISTORY, and all the bullets within each of these fields.
